Fredericksburg City Public Schools is excited to announce the division’s first Equity Task Force (ETF).  The ETF is dedicated to identifying and eliminating inequities that exist in our community.

Fredericksburg City Public School students will have the option to begin in-person classes in January. Under the plan, students who choose the in-person option will be divided into two groups. One group will be in school buildings for a shortened day on Mondays and Tuesdays and the other on Thursdays and Fridays.

LUES students recently had the opportunity to participate in this program thanks to the grant "Reach For The Stars".  Each student was given a model to build as well as the unforgettable experience of launching a solid-fuel powered rocket hundreds of feet into the sky.

FCPS would like to recognize Emily Brown, tenth grade student at JM. Emily is a student in Introduction to Computer Science in JavaScript, a new course being offered this year.

A Special Thank you to the UMW Student Organization “COAR”  (Community Outreach and Resources) for the 50 “Pick Me UP Boxes” and fleece blankets for 25 HMES Students and 25 LUES students.
