“Peep peep! The baby chicks hatched this weekend in Mrs. Keeka’s first grade class. About 4 different kinds of chicken eggs were incubated. 11 chicks successfully hatched. Students from different classes (and teachers) are have fun visiting the chicks. Peep! “

All of the students in Mrs. San Soucie's class last week became authors! Students had to research an animal and write their own non-fiction book where they shared facts about the animal's appearance, diet, family, and habitat! Then students made their animals out of clay, and their own habitats. Students and families around the school were invited to come and meet the authors where they shared a presentation about their book, and even signed copies of their books for various students! Hats off to these scholarly authors!

The link below has some pictures from World Language today, with our end of the year scavenger hunt outside, and indoors. The kids each had their own magnifying glasses and plastic creatures and animals as we used Spanish vocabulary that we learned to gather information.
