🎨VSBA Art Contest Winners Fredericksburg City Schools is excited to announce our 3 winners of the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Student Art Contest. These winners will be on display at the 2024 VSBA Spring Regional Network Forum on May 8, 2024, to compete as a regional winner for the VSBA Regional Art Contest. Winning selections will be framed for display in the Virginia School Boards Association office throughout the year. Congratulations to our local winners and thank you to all K-12 students who participated in this contest.

Walker-Grant Orchestra Takes First The WGMS Orchestra, led by Dr. Bartram, won First Place in their division at Saturday's Music in the Marks competition at Busch Gardens this past weekend. They also earned Best Overall Orchestra from the panel of judges. Music in the Parks hosts the most popular school music competitions in the country, and Busch Gardens is one of their primary sites. The orchestra competed against schools from VA, NC, PA, MD, and NJ.
