Good Afternoon Tiger Family,
As we move through the final days of April and head into the last full month of school, we are excited to cheer our students on as they finish strong. This last stretch is a chance for students to stay focused, give their best effort, and show what it truly means to be a Tiger.
With your support at home, students can stay locked in—coming to school ready to learn, making positive choices, and pushing themselves to be their very best every day.
Here are a few important updates for the week ahead:
Maintaining a Focused Learning Environment
As we continue SOL preparation and move through the final weeks of the school year, it is important that our classrooms remain focused and supportive spaces for learning. We ask for your help in reminding students to make positive choices and demonstrate our core values of Accountability, Perseverance, Empathy, and Respect each day.
If a student's behavior disrupts learning, families will be contacted, and your direct support will be needed to guide the student back on track. Please remember that positive behavior is required for participation in end‑of‑year activities.
Spring SOL Testing Schedule
Please review the Spring SOL testing schedule shared in today's email and mark your calendars accordingly. We appreciate your continued partnership in supporting student success. If you have any questions or need additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Title I
Title I is the largest federal aid program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, the federal government designates money to school districts around the country based on the number students in need in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children, such as:
Class size reduction
Additional teachers and paraprofessionals
Parent resources
Instructional materials and supplies
Tier 2 and Tier 3 support services
The focus of the Title I program is to ensure all students meet challenging content and achievement standards. Title I also authorizes federal grant programs that provide funds for reading instruction, services to migrant children, services to neglected and delinquent children, comprehensive school reform, and dropout prevention.
All FCPS students in grades K-8 are eligible to receive programs funded through the Title I grant.
