Weekly Principal Message - 2 November 25

Good evening,

This is Marcus Petty, Principal of James Monroe High School, with a few important announcements.

Report cards were sent home with students last Thursday. Please take a moment to review them with your child. If you have any questions, contact the appropriate teacher.

As a reminder, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 3:00-5:00 PM. Please call the Main Office to schedule an appointment to meet with your child's teacher.

We will conduct a lockdown drill this week to ensure that students and staff stay familiar with our safety procedures.

Beginning Monday, doors at JM will open for students at 7:15 AM, and dismissal will begin at 2:45 PM. Please plan accordingly.

As we move through the school year together, I want to remind you that our community has a variety of local resources available to support families. You can find a list of helpful community organizations and services including food, housing, and family support on our division website: www.fxbgschools.us/page/local-resources-to-know.

Our schools are more than classrooms; we're a caring community, and we're here to help however we can. If you or someone you know could use extra support, please explore the link above or reach out to your school counselor or family liaison. Together, we can continue to take care of one another and make Fredericksburg City Public Schools a place where every child and family thrives.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us here at the school.

One Community. One JM!

Have a great evening!
