Elizabeth Rehm Appointed to Fill Ward 3 School Board Seat
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — On Monday, October 6, the Fredericksburg City Public Schools (FCPS) School Board voted unanimously to appoint Elizabeth Rehm to fill the Ward 3 School Board seat vacated by Jennifer Boyd in September. Rehm will serve in this role until December 31, 2025.
Rehm is no stranger to FCPS governance. She previously served on the Fredericksburg City School Board for more than nine years, from 2012 to 2021, providing thoughtful leadership and steady guidance through times of growth and change. Her reappointment brings valuable continuity, experience, and institutional knowledge to the Board.
“Elizabeth Rehm has a long and respected history of service to Fredericksburg City Public Schools,” said Dr. Marci Catlett, Superintendent of Schools. “Her deep understanding of the work and collaboration required of board members makes her an excellent choice to continue supporting our mission of educating and inspiring every child, every day.”
Rehm’s prior tenure was marked by her commitment to public education and her clear understanding of the School Board’s role in setting policy, supporting educators, and serving as a bridge between schools and the Fredericksburg community.
“I’m honored to return to the board and continue working on behalf of Fredericksburg’s students and families,” said Rehm. “This division means a great deal to me, and I look forward to supporting the important work already underway.”
The Ward 3 seat will be up for election in November 2025.
