*September 13 Update: "The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) has recently made us aware that many households did not receive summer P-EBT benefits due to a card processing error. We have been informed that affected households will be issued a new P-EBT card and that all cards should be received no later than September 30.

If you recently received a P-EBT card that is not working, a replacement card is already on the way. You do not need to take any action to report your invalid card. VDSS has identified the households affected by this error. Please do not contact the P-EBT call center to order another card, as this may further delay the processing of your benefits.

Summer Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits have just been issued to all FCPS families who had students enrolled at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.  The benefits will be loaded to your existing P-EBT or EBT card unless your contact or address information has changed.  If you do not receive your P-EBT benefits within 7-10 days or need additional help, please contact the Virginia Department of Social Services P-EBT Call Center at (866) 513-1414 or use the P-EBT Inquiry Form.  VDSS will begin processing questions about summer P-EBT on September, 12th. You can find more information at .

VDSS is recommending that families wait until September 12th to contact the P-EBT helpline.  That will allow for any new or re-issued card to be received in the mail.  Benefits will be loaded on existing P-EBT or SNAP EBT card when possible.  If families need cards to be reissued, they should contact the helpline.  New cards will automatically be mailed in cases where the guardian name or address has changed since the last issuance of benefits.

Unfortunately, we can’t help families directly. If families need assistance, they will need to contact VDSS.  VDSS will investigate the issue and ask for our help if they have questions about eligibility.
