Preparing Your Move to Fredericksburg City
Fredericksburg City Public Schools understands that transition is a military way-of-life, and we are here to help make the transition to Fredericksburg City easier for your family. The resources in this section (and on the left-hand menu navigation) provide helpful points of contact, quick tips on transitioning, as well as a checklist that helps prepare for the move and to easily transition into your new school system.
School Liaison Program
The School Liaison Program is designed to create connectivity between military parents, schools, educators, and the installation by providing timely and relevant information to enhance learning and promote academic success. School Liaisons network, educate, and work in partnership with local schools to enhance the school-age education experience. The School Liaison provides military commanders with the support necessary to coordinate and advise military families of school-age children on educational issues and needs, and to assist in solving education related problems. Below are some of the most common contacts, but a fuller list can be found on the Military One Source website, HERE.
