Community Partners Luncheon
|
FCPS staff and advocates come together
|
On June 22, FCPS held its annual Community Partners Luncheon. Those in the community who have partnered with FCPS in some way were invited to come meet with FCPS staff, connect with other partners, and enjoy a boxed lunch. FCPS appreciates all its community partners for their support, and for stopping by today.
"Our amazing community partners have exceeded our expectations with an enormous amount of support and generosity. We appreciate your continuous dedication to our students, families, and schools.
Nothing beats the FCPS team!" said Dr. Marceline Catlett, FCPS Superintendent.

The school days are shorter, but these kindergarten students are still excited about learning! Mrs. Anderson's summer program class learned all about the significance of Flag Day in the United States. They learned lots of cool facts, like how the colors on the American flag are symbolic for different things (red for courage, white for goodness, and blue for fairness), and that each star represents a state.

These W-GMS faculty members completed the first annual WGMS Microsoft Educator Academy (WG MEA) cohort for the 2022 - 2023 school year. These educators used Canvas and Microsoft Learn to allow for personalization in their learning. Educators worked over seven months at their own pace to complete their certification. Laura Powell, Instructional Technology Coach at WG, facilitated the cohort. We look forward to offering another cohort next year as we learn together to earn the Microsoft Advanced Educator certificate in 2023 - 2024.
