Digital Learning Week 2023

Today (February 21), Ms. Cuevas-Orlando celebrated Digital Learning Day with her Spanish 2 students. She collaborated with Mrs. Heller, JMHS's Instructional Technology Coach, to present her students with an activity that allowed them to discuss in English and Spanish how the pandemic impacted the use of technology in schools, the pros and cons of technology in schools, and to give their feedback on how technology could be used to make learning better.  Students shared their voices through short video responses on Flip.

Dr. Jacoby, Hugh Mercer's Instructional Technology Coach, is visiting classrooms to practice coding using a program called Scratch! Students are coding their names. Students in Ms. McKinney's 2^nd grade class coded their names, then did a gallery walk to look at other students coding work.

It's Digital Learning Week and LES' ITC, Ms. Christi is doing her thing! The third graders in Ms. Skobjak's class got a quick lesson in coding and how to make their names look awesome with motion,  colors, and even sounds.  Learning is fun!
